Twenty years ago today the World Wide Web was publicly released on the Internet.
Tim Berners-Lee, while working at CERN, posted the WorldWideWeb: Summary to the alt.hypertext Usenet newsgroup on August 6, 1991. He designed the first web browser and webpage on his NeXT Computer, which also became the first web server.
Thank you Tim for bringing a service to the Internet that revolutionized the world!
